Congratulations to Katarina Ramzi from Christopher's No Frills in North York! Katarina takes home the February prize of $70 in PC gift cards for her winning entry in Local 1000A's Share Your Story contest!
Katarina's Entry: "I have worked at No Frills pharmacy for many years. Few years ago my hours at pharmacy (I am the pharmacy technician) were cut from 18 hours a week to 10 hours and by the end to 4 hours a week. Who can support a family on 4 hours a week? Right away I contacted the union and they helped me to get my hours back. Presently I have 21 hours a week. Thank you very much for your help. I will never forget it. Because by myself I will not be able to do much."

On International Women's Day (March 8, 2014), we celebrate the achievements of women in Canada and around the world.
We rise and reflect on the sisterhood and solidarity we share in working towards a more just and equitable society. We work to inspire change, recognizing that while many positive gains have been made, the world is still unequal.
We, as sisters and brothers, unite to fight for equality for our daughters, wives, sisters, siblings and mothers.
