Below, member Emily Anderson reflects on the issue of affordable housing in Ontario and the importance of voting.

With housing and food costs skyrocketing, join Ontarians in advocating for those running for elected office to tackle the affordability crisis in Ontario.

Emily Anderson, Real Canadian Superstore

"The most important issue this election is affordable housing.

Rental rates are out of control, and the housing supply is being scooped up by investors who seem to just want to make a quick dollar.

The government needs to deincentivize owning investment properties and anything else that removes housing from the supply, keeping it out of reach of regular people.

Everyone deserves a home!

I have voted in every election since I was 18. Democracy is incredibly important in an open and free society. We have so many people from different backgrounds, and all need to be represented. Everyone’s voice matters.”
