UFCW 1006A members at Sofina Foods have ratified a new union contract.
“All of us on the committee worked hard to get what we achieved,” said Moestafa Ali, a member of the negotiating committee. “There were ups and downs and we worked together to achieve this contract. The majority of members were okay with the contract and happy with the wage increases. Our union representative did a great job.”
The term of the contract was from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027 and covers 230 members.
“I want to thank our UFCW negotiating committee members for their hard work and dedication through this process and for being a strong voice for our members at Sofina,” said President Wayne Hanley. “We are proud of all that we have achieved together. Member engagement and support is critical to building fair workplaces.”
