Here is Lana's story.
When Covid hit back in March 2020, we were all told to stay home and the city would be placed in a lockdown for 2 weeks.
"Unfortunately, I started the pandemic March 9, 2020 going back to work after fighting and winning my battle against cancer.
I was so extremely happy to get back to work which I was just happy to get back to NORMAL.
Well, it was not normal when I got back the first week. I saw so many co-workers and customers that were so scared of the unknown.
My cancer fight prepared myself for this pandemic unknowably to say the least. At that point, I personally was waking up every morning smiling being happy that I was still alive.
So I decided to take that attitude to work and just try to spread some joy and a smile. Maybe how about just asking a complete stranger: How are You? And asking again: How Really are You? I tried to always be positive and show others kindness and empathy throughout this whole big mess. Be safe."
