UFCW Canada Local 1006A members at Alsco have ratified a new union contract with significant gains.
The term of the contract is from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2024.
“Union representation is the key to improving the rights and livelihoods of workers,” said President Wayne Hanley. "Congratulations to our negotiating committee at Alsco for their outstanding work on behalf of the membership.”
Negotiations were led by Union Rep Rick Del Fiacco, with support from Union Rep Daiana Dumitru and members, Laurie Westermann and Terri Leitenburger.
Highlights
* 9 per cent wage increase over three years, with 4.5 per cent in the first year
* Increases to members’ pension every year
* New language for return to work
* Increase to shoe allowance
