UFCW Canada Local 1006A is proud to welcome our newest members from Homewood Suites by Hilton (Courtney Park Holdings) and congratulate them on their union contract.
The term of the contract is from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023.
“We are excited to welcome our newest members from Homewood Suites by Hilton to the 1006A union family,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Members have a strong first contract with several gains including wage increases and benefits. We look forward to working with our new members to improve their rights and livelihoods now and into the future.”
Bargaining was conducted by Executive Assistant to the President Frank Ragni and Union Representative Joe Blythe.
The union contract covers 30 workers at the Mississauga hotel, who work in a variety of roles including room attendants, house person, laundry, and banquet staff.
Highlights of New Contract
- Secured 100% paid benefits by the company.
- Members will receive 10 percent wage increase in the 4 year term.
- Banquet staff will receive 17% increase in banquet gratuities
