UFCW 1006A members at NexCycle Plastics in Brampton have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the contract is from February 2, 2025 to February 14, 2028 and covers 52 members.
The negotiating committee included members, Harry Balraj, Sarbjit Mangat and Union Representatives, Joe Blythe and Greg Sibley.
“All across Ontario, UFCW 1006A negotiating committees are making life better for our members by achieving fair contracts,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Our union is proud to provide strong union representation which meets the needs of our membership. Congratulations to our members at NexCycle on their new union contract.”
Highlights
- Significant wage gains – increases of $3 per hour over the term of the contract for all classifications
- Achieved new vision care coverage - $300 every two years
- Increased safety shoe reimbursement to $180
