UFCW Canada Local 1006A was proud to celebrate and participate in London Pride for the very first year in our history. London Pride took place on July 30, and drew 1006A members and staff from across the region.
"It was amazing to participate in London Pride with my union," said Paul Milam, a 1006A member from a London Real Canadian Superstore. "Thank you to UFCW Canada Local 1006A for supporting workers' rights and equality. It meant so much that my union took part in Pride in my community – I was so happy to see the incredible participation from our union."
The local joined thousands of participants in the annual event.
London marks the third pride event for the local union, after Toronto and Brockville Prides. Next up will be Canada Pride in Montreal and Capital Pride in Ottawa.
