This International Women's Day (IWD), UFCW 1006A is proud to come together to Accelerate Action - the theme for 2024.
The theme is about taking action to create change.
As the IWD website states, "Accelerate Action emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres."
1006A's Women's Issues Network members will be commemorating IWD this month through various initiatives.
Women continue to play vital roles as stewards, staff and leaders within our union.
We all have a role to play to Inspire Inclusion and to build fairer and more just workplaces and communities for all.
