UFCW Canada Local 1006A's OUTreach committee members came together with members and staff to participate in Brockville Pride on July 15, 2017. The local union contignent featured a truck and marchers.
"UFCW Canada Local 1006A is proud to be a champion for equality, human rights and fairness in communities across Ontario," said President Wayne Hanley. "Participating in Pride is about celebrating the diversity of our union and letting our members in the LGBTQ community know they have a home in their union."
Ian Stables, a steward from a RCSS in Brockville, organized the local union's participation.
"What an amazing event – I want to thank everyone who came and supported us," said Stables.
