Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

2015-pride-websiteToronto Pride Weekend (JUNE 27 to 28) is around the corner and your union is inviting you to join us for one of the biggest events of the year! Bring your co-workers, friends and family to downtown Toronto and together, let’s stand up for equality, human rights and fairness for all. This weekend is about rallying together for respect, dignity and LGBTQ rights in our workplaces and our communities.

day-of-pink-logoOn April 8, 2015, join your union in taking a stand against bullying, discrimination, homophobia and transphobia in our schools, workplaces and communities by participating in the International Day of Pink.

In the wake of attacks on LGBTQ rights in Arkansas and Indiana, it’s more important than ever to stand up for equality, diversity, and inclusivity in our society.

We hope you can show your support against bullying, discrimination and homophobia and transphobia by observing the day and/or wearing pink.

"I am humbled by this honour," Shirley said. "It's incredible and totally unexpected. I have been fortunate and I feel it is my responsibility as a citizen to use my voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves and to stand up for the most vulnerable in our society."

Brockville_Pride_WebRainbow flags flew high over Brockville July 19 as UFCW Canada Local 1000A members, activists and staff joined many others in marching through the city’s downtown.

“It is about standing up for human rights, gay rights and equality for everybody,” said Ian Stables, a Local 1000A activist and member of the Pride Advisory Group who helped organize the local union’s participation in the event.
