Local 1000A and UFCW Canada Local 206 merged on May 1, 2016 to form UFCW Canada Local 1006A.
Local 1000A was out in full force as members joined tens of thousands of marchers at Toronto’s annual Labour Day Parade on September 3, 2012. Decked out in their UFCW gold t-shirts, Local 1000A members, along with their family and friends, danced, chanted and flew their UFCW flags high as they marched from Queen St and University Ave to the CNE.
Under clear blue skies, thousands of participants, including Local 1000A staff, members and activists, took to the streets of downtown Ottawa on August 26, 2012 to celebrate the Capital Pride Parade. Decked out in UFCW gold T-shirts, they danced and waved flags as they made their way through the downtown core.

Join us at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2012 at the corner of University Ave and Queen St (watch for the gold UFCW Canada flags) to receive your Labour Day package.
Even the rain couldn’t keep Local 1000A riders from the third annual Ride for a Cure event.
Despite rain showers throughout the day, nearly 23 bikers and passengers took to the winding backroads of Southern Ontario to do their part to help fund a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma on Saturday August 11.
