The Passport to Action encourages members to get more active in their union, in their communities and in the broader struggle to build a fairer and more just society.
The passport is just one piece in helping build this movement. When you attend any union event (Union Meeting, CAN picnic, Labour Day, etc) or any community event (anti-poverty rally, tuition protest, etc), you will receive a Local 1000A stamp. As you collect stamps for your passport, you will be eligible for various prizes and draws.
How do I get my “Passport to Action”?

Please include your full name, current mailing address and the location that you work in. A passport will be mailed to the address given. If you attend a UFCW Canada Local 1000A sponsored event, look for a Local 1000A representative and ask for a passport.
How do I collect the Stamps?
If you attend a UFCW Canada Local 1000A sponsored event, look for a 1000A representative and ask them for a stamp for your passport. If you attend a community event, (anti-poverty rally, tuition protest, etc), where there is no 1000A representative, take a photo of yourself at the event and email it along with the date, location and name of the event to This email address is being protected from spambots. How do I claim my prize or be entered in the draw?
Once you have collected the required number of stamps, take a photo of the page in your passport, clearly showing the stamps and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please include your full name, current mailing address and the location that you work in. Depending on the level reached, the prize will either be mailed to you or you will receive confirmation of your name being entered into a draw. Please be aware that prizes may change based on supply.
