Below, member Ashe Kachuba reflects about concerns within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community heading into the provincial election.

Previously, Premier Doug Ford had accused school boards of indoctrinating students about gender expression.

With housing and food costs skyrocketing, join Ontarians in advocating for those running for elected office to tackle the affordability crisis in Ontario.

Ashe Kachuba, Air Canada Cafe

“The most important issue for me this election is ensuring the protection of 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and combating hate-based politics. Our communities should not be afraid to lose their rights and healthcare because people decided to use their bigotry as a stepping stool to power.

Too many hateful people are voting while others stand by. We are too close to following in the steps of the United States.

Voting is the only way to get a say in your future. Not voting is letting other people decide for you."
