UFCW 1006A members at the Quality Suites hotel in Whitby have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the contract is from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2029 and covers 17 members.
“The new contract was good - we fought hard for what we received,” said Eileen Cox, a member of the negotiating committee. “The members seemed pleased with what we achieved.”
The negotiating committee included members, Eileen Cox, Lisa McKinnon and Union Representative, Dustin Magee.
“I want to thank our negotiating team for their hard work on behalf of our members at Quality Suites Whitby,” said President Wayne Hanley. “When members work together, they can transform their working conditions for the better.”
