Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

UFCW 1006A members, working as security guards with Allied Universal Security Services, have ratified a new union contract with lasting gains for the membership.

“UFCW 1006A is proud to be the best union in Ontario for security guards seeking protection and fairness at work,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Congratulations to our members at Allied Univerisal Security on achieving a fair contract which protects and improves their rights and livelihoods.”

The new contract provides members with protection and stability.

The term of the contract is March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2030 and covers nearly 2400 members.

Members of the negotiating committee included: members Joshua Kumi, Jennifer Lewis, Union Representative, Geoffrey Gosselin and Executive Assistant to the President and Director of the Security Guard sector, Jeff Ketelaars.

“We went toe-to-toe at the table and came back with a contract that raises the bar for the entire industry,” Ketelaars said. "Job security. Fair pay. Real respect. "That's what happens when Canada's premier security union sits down and negotiates hard."
