In response to Loblaw’s decision not to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, UFCW Canada Local 1006A has filed grievances against Loblaws Great Food, RCSS and the Maple Grove Distribution Centre.

UFCW 1006A is pleased to announce we are participating in the Labour of Love campaign, launched by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).

UFCW 1006A is welcoming stewards from across Ontario to our fall Stewards’ Training courses at the union office.

“The majority of the voting population are workers like us, and we want to make sure working-class voices are heard by politicians,” said Emily Boyer, a union steward at the Whitby Superstore.

“It was a fantastic contract and the members voted overwhelmingly for it,” said member Mekonnen Geresin.
