June 1 is Injured Workers Day.
It's a time to raise awareness about the struggles faced by injured workers, advocate for health and safety improvements and come together to reform the WSIB system.
Common types of injuries include: strains/sprains, cuts/punctures, scrapes, bruises and pinches. In the last year, several 1006A members also tested positive for COVID-19.
If you are worried about health and safety in your workplace or are injured at work, carefully document your concerns and observations and contact your union's health and safety department.
