
UFCW 1006A members at Brandt Meats in Mississauga have ratified a new union contract.
“It was a good contract and I was happy with it,” said Lino Cabral, a member of the negotiating committee. “Almost everyone thinks it was a fair and good deal.”
The term of the contract is March 13, 2026 to March 12, 2030 and covers 55 members.
The negotiating committee included members, Maria Avila, Lino Cabral and Patrick Maiorano and Union Representatives, Joe Blythe and Amanmeet Singh.
“I’m pleased to congratulate our members at Brandt Meats on achieving a strong union contract,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Our negotiating committee worked hard to ensure the voices of our members were heard. I also want to thank our members — your support, unity and participation throughout this process made a big difference.”
