UFCW 1006A members at Travelodge Simcoe have ratified a new union contract.
The contract term is from September 12, 2024 to September 11, 2027 and covers six members.
“UFCW 1006A is proud to be Ontario’s best union for hotel workers – by working together, we are helping workers improve their rights and transform their workplaces for the better,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Congratulations to our negotiating committee for securing a fair union contract.”
The negotiating committee consisted of member Lisa Ann Guthro and Union Representatives Ric Pereira and Kyle McGreal.

- Increased bereavement from 3 days to 4 days
- Minimum wage protection language.
- Shoe allowance for all members: $100 per calendar year
