UFCW 1006A members at Hampton Inn Suites by Hilton Toronto have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the agreement is from March 31, 2024 to March 31, 2027 and covers 18 members.
The negotiating committee included member Jason Kayorie, and Union Representatives, Dustin Magee and Amanmeet Singh.
“The power of union representation in the hotel industry is immense, as workers gain the ability to collectively advocate for improvements to wages, benefits and working conditions,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Over the years, UFCW 1006A has become Ontario’s best union for hotel workers seeking fairness and respect at work. This is due to our strong track record of consistently securing gains and improvements for our membership across the province. On behalf of UFCW 1006A, I am proud to congratulate our members at Hampton Inn Suites on their new union contract.”
