UFCW 1006A members, who work as security guards, at Barber Collins Security (City of Waterloo) have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the contract is from July 31, 2024 to July 31, 2027 and covers five members.
The negotiating committee consisted of members, Leo Faienza and Doug Ross and Union Representative Geoffrey Gosselin.
“UFCW 1006A is proud to be the number one union for security workers in Ontario who are seeking fairness and protection at work,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Congratulations to our membership at Barber Collins on their new union contract.”
Highlights
- 4 percent wage increase each year or Ontario Consumer Price Index (whichever is higher)
- 36 hours of paid sick leave
- Increases to members' Health Spending account.
