UFCW 1006A is proud to congratulate 1006A members at Park Inn by Radisson Toronto-Markham, who voted recently to ratify a new union contract.
“The reaction was positive – mostly everybody was happy with the new contract,” said Jeyalini Mathivarnan, a member of the negotiating committee who works at the hotel.
The term of the contract is from April 12, 2024 to April 11, 2028 and covers 24 workers.
“As Ontario’s best union for hotel workers, UFCW 1006A continues to help our members in the industry achieve improvements and win fair contracts,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Congratulations to our negotiating committee and our membership on their achievement.”
The negotiations committee was comprised of members Carlos Braga-Medina, Jeyalini Mathivarnan, Regional Director Don Taylor and Union Representative Michael Hurley.
