"Frontline workers have kept our communities safe as we’ve worked through the COVID-19 crisis and together, we will continue to advocate for fairness, equality and justice," said Nancy Prout, a union steward who helped her co-workers observe Labour Day. "The pandemic has shown the critical importance of protecting and strengthening labour rights."
Steward Maria Bocangel came together with her co-workers in downtown Toronto at a local restaurant to observe Labour Day.
“It’s about standing up for fairness for working families and building the movement now and for the future,” said Bocangel.
