Congratulations to the members and supporters of WIN Region 6, who held a community yard sale on Saturday, July 23, 2016 and raised $501 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
"It’s amazing to see the difference that our members are making in their communities through initiatives like this yard sale,” said President Wayne Hanley. "WIN Region 6 can be proud of the outstanding job they did in hosting this event and raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.”
The yard sale was held in the parking lot of Parker’s YIG in North Bay.
“We have to do what we can in the fight against cancer— too many people are getting it and too many kids are getting it,” said
Cathy Watson, chair of WIN Region 6 who works at Parker’s YIG. “We do this yard sale because it is for a good cause. I am so thankful to our many volunteers and supporters— this event wouldn’t have been possible without your help, donations and support.”
Local 1006A members Angie Robinson and Sandra Bailey were among those who volunteered at the yard sale. Thank you to everyone who helped out and made this event a success!
