Kallisha became a local union member when she started working as a cashier for No Frills in 2005. She became a steward in 2015 — as she was always the person that  members would come to for advice or to ask questions about the union contract. She was a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee at her store, a participant and facilitator of UFCW Canada’s Young Workers Internship and a 1006A Women’s committee member. Kallisha also served on the No Frills negotiating committee and most recently, worked in Organizing with UFCW Canada. She is driven to be a union rep because she enjoys helping others, whether it is informing them of their rights, filing a grievance, or empowering members. She currently services a variety of workplaces, including No Frills, Loblaws Great Food, Cintas, NexCycle, Swiss Chalet, YIG, and Tok Transit.
