1006A won its arbitration against National Grocers Co, paving the way for the recognition of The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a stat holiday at Maple Grove, Loblaw Great Food & RCSS.
In response to Loblaw’s decision not to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, UFCW Canada Local 1006A has filed grievances against Loblaws Great Food, RCSS and the Maple Grove Distribution Centre.
UFCW Canada Local 1006A is shocked by Loblaw’s decision to not honour September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, as a statutory holiday for our members.
After our sustained campaign to eliminate toxic receipt papers, UFCW Canada Local 1006A is proud to welcome Loblaw’s newly announced commitment to stop using receipts with Bisphenol A (BPA), Bisphenol S (BPS) and other bisphenol papers by the end of 2021.
