First observed in 1872 with the Toronto printers’ strike, Labour Day is now marked in communities across Canada.
Today as in the past, unions continue to be at the forefront of fighting for a more just society, whether it be advocating for progressive childcare policies for families, lower tuition rates for students, or helping workers win rights in the workplace.
Thank you for your time, and Happy Labour Day to you and your family.
