Local 1000A members at Janes Family Foods voted to ratify a three-year collective agreement with improvements to wages and benefits.
The term of the agreement is from the date of ratification, November 8, 2014 to December 31, 2017.
The agreement covers more than 180 members.
Bargaining was led by Don Taylor, Regional Director (Central Ontario) with support from Local 1000A Staff Representative Dustin Magee.
Members of the bargaining committee included Marek Zawierucha, Daniel Adome, Charmane Ramsay, Deodat Kaso, Pramie (Haimwattie) Ramroop, and Valeriy Kholodov.
In addition to a $750 lump sum effective the day of ratification, all members will also see a $1.20 increase over the duration of the contract. Members in certain classifications will also see increases.
