Kretschmar worker Cartona Marjes is a big fan of Local 1000A’s Members’ Day. With prices going up, it can get quite costly to take the family for a day out.
That’s why she and her family has made a point of taking advantage of coming out for UFCW Canada Local 1000A’s Members’ Day- where discounted tickets to Wonderland and a free lunch was provided courtesy of your union.
“Everything is so expensive and this is a good deal for the whole family,” Marjes said. “It is a good day for the kids to get out and do something fun.”Marjes was among the hundreds of members who came with their family and friends to the Local 1000A’s Members’ Day at Wonderland.
Jameson Dickson, who works at Louis Dreyfus, said Members’ Day at Wonderland was excellent and said “it’s good to bring unity among family.”
“It’s a nice day to spend among friends and co-workers outside the workplace,” he said.
Local 1000A activist Diana O’Brien, helped organize the event for the local union.
