Want a relaxing day to get away from the stresses of work? A fun day to spend with family or friends? Then, make sure to come out to our summer picnics.
Held in London, Ottawa and Toronto, the Community Action Network (CAN) BBQ picnics feature an all-you-can-eat BBQ and a variety of events for youth and adults. These include relay races, soccer, sumo-suit wrestling, face-painting and a jumping castle. Participants can also compete in an “Iron Chef” contest by bringing their own cultural dishes.
The picnics will be held in London on July 9, in Toronto on August 6 and in Ottawa on August 27. The $5 entry fee per family will be donated to the Sickle Cell Association, an organization that works to find a cure for sickle cell disease. Don't forget to bring your family and/or friends along.
