UFCW 1006A members at Compass Group, who work in Maple Leaf Lounges at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, have ratified a new contract.
“We made a significant change for the better with the contract,” said Razel Demicais, a member of the negotiating committee. “Most of the members were satisfied with the agreement. I was totally impressed by our union representatives – they guided us all the way through the process and we learned how the union worked.”
The term of the contract is from October 13, 2024 to October 12, 2027 and covers 180 members.
Member of the negotiating committee included members, Razel Demicais, Malika Dhawan, Hasmukh Patel, Alma Reyes, Gagandeep Singh, Executive Assistant to the President Frank Ragni, 1006A Recorder Glacier Effs-Samuel and Union Representative Joshua Robichaud.
