UFCW 1006A's Spring Stewards Training is underway at the union office.
Our comprehensive training program empowers stewards with the necessary knowledge and skills to better help our members and resolve workplace issues.
This spring, hundreds of stewards registered for training.
"I gained necessary knowledge, new skills and techniques that I can use as a union steward to help members," said Zoran Markovic, a steward at Loblaw Great Food.
1006A stewards from a variety of sectors across Ontario are taking courses, including Human Rights, Public Speaking and New Stewards Training.
"I gained confidence in dealing with management and it is a chance to meet other stewards," said Scott Champion, a steward at Parker's YIG.
