Members at Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Brampton have ratified a new union contract.
The term of the agreement is from August 10, 2019 to August 9, 2023.
“Hotel workers know they can count on UFCW 1006A to improve their rights and livelihoods—congratulations to our negotiating committee for a job well-done at Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Brampton.” Negotiations were led by Union Rep Joe Blythe, with support from members, Sarabjit Kaur Bolabains, Maria Hewitt and Akshansh Sharma.
Highlights
- Wage increases: 4% in 2019, 3% in 2020, 3% in 2021, and 3% in 2022
- Improved vacation language
- Improved overtime language Christmas bonus
- Language guarantee of gratuities on complimentary breakfasts (i.e. breakfast coupons)
