More than 400 members and family turned out for 1006A’s Members’ Day at Wet ’n’ Wild waterpark on July 21, 2018.
Workers from diverse workplaces and sectors across Ontario participated.
“It’s amazing the union organizes events like this for the membership,” said Nancy Prout, a steward from a RCSS in Whitby. “Members Day are a bonus, bringing family and community together.”
Every year, the union hosts Members’ Day at a theme park to celebrate our membership and encourage solidarity and participation in 1006A.
For a discounted park entry fee, members had access to the waterpark, lunch, union towels and children’s hats.
“UFCW 1006A is all about our members and our members’ families —it was a beautiful day at Wet ’n’ Wild and it was great to see so many of our members come out and participate with our union,” said President Wayne Hanley.
Thank you to everyone who came out and participated.
